Meet the Carcassonne Team
We are the team from Carcassonne, a medieval town in the south of France. Initially, there was a strong pre-COVID team that disbanded during the lockdown. Over the past three years, we’ve been rebuilding: we faced crushing defeats in Volpiano, were the most underrated team in Monaco, and ended the 2023-2024 season by advancing to League 1. In high spirits, we thrive on defying expectations!
Key Players and Their Roles
Jean the Fat: Hits hard but doesn’t overthink.
Coco I Take: Doesn’t hit hard but never falls.
Alexander the Great: Living up to his name.
Romain the Captain: Drinks and dominates.
Julien Alleluia: Falls with flair.
JB the Fast: A threat even on the ground.
Loick the Blacksmith: Loyal, though not the sharpest.
Yohan the Coach: Pushes until you’ve given it your all—literally.
The Story Behind the Name and Logo
Our team’s name honors our home city, Carcassonne, known for its rich medieval history and the most stunning medieval cityscape in the world.
Greatest Achievements
Starting the season as the most underrated team in Ligue 2, we’ve earned our promotion to League 1. Even the referees acknowledged the progress we’ve made this season, a testament to our hard work and determination.
Overcoming Challenges
Building a team from scratch was no easy feat. Some training sessions initially had just two participants. However, through perseverance and communication, we now have a full roster without relying on mercenaries, led by a dedicated chief blacksmith.
Preparing for Tournaments
Our preparation is straightforward: we arrive relaxed, fight fiercely, and leave victorious. Training consists of weekly non-armored sessions with a focus on cardio and monthly armored practice on a specialized field.
Defining Characteristics
Our biggest strengths lie in our warrior spirit, trust in one another, and love for battlefield intensity. We train together seriously and supplement this with individual training each week.
Keeping Morale High
Humor and camaraderie keep us motivated. We enjoy cracking jokes (both good and bad), sharing beers after competitions, and having fun during training sessions.
Future Goals
Our sights are set on winning the French championship and claiming the top spot in League 1. Why not aim high?
