In the interest of transparency, we will be providing updates periodically throughout the planning and lead in process to the BI World Championships.
By way of the first update, since the announcement for the BI World Championships the work has been continuing in the background between BI and the host National Organisation and relevant parties to keep up the momentum. A lot has happened in a short space of time, some of which we detail below.
You will hopefully have also seen the dedicated World Championships section of the website (Click here). We have posted a preliminary outline event schedule based on the projected attendance numbers submitted by the various National Organisations as well as links to policies which will be relevant to the World Championships. Keep an eye of this page for more updated information as we progress.
We’ve now established a full outline site map to aid with the more detailed infrastructure and planning set up for the venue itself with the help of the organisers. We hope to be able to issue this as a detailed site plan to the community in the coming months which will show the main site and all relevant amenities adjacent to support the championships.
A marshal survey and registration of interest form was issued out by Stephen to the community to gather marshal availability as well as to help with scheduling planning for marshal resources to support the multitude of disciplines and matches that will take place during the event.
Sponsorship and vendor preliminary registration was announced to start the process of collating sponsors, vendors and donors who want to help make this event great.
